Cambiar a una sociedad sostenible con el medio ambiente traerá enormes retos para Europa, incluyendo grandes cambios en cómo sus demandas para necesidades como comida, energía o transporte. La diversidad académica y las comunidades políticas están siendo uno de esos retos según el reportaje publicado la semana pasada por la Agencia Europea del Medio Ambiente.
El reportaje presenta una variedad de perspectivas analíticas y colectivas sobre el cambio sistemático, gobierno y creación de conocimientos. El informe consta de estos temas y 2 más menos importantes. Para cada uno de estos temas se incluyan las valoraciones de la gente y de varios expertos sobre cómo influyen estos temas en el medio ambiente.
En el informe se concluyó que el logro de los objetivos sobre la sostenibilidad que están fijados a largo plazo, al final puede que se cumplan. El informe también especifica que para conseguirlo, Europa tendrá que sufrir muy grandes cambios en la producción de consumo y que consagrarán un deterioro del medio ambiente.
Para concluir el informe, se recogió que los gobiernos por sí solos no podrán comenzar y mantener estas transiciones y por ello serán más importantes que nunca las relaciones entre países o entre el grupo de países como es la UE y que desempeñarán un papel importante en política, experimentación local o aprendizaje de conocimientos. Para conseguirlos, los gobiernos o la UE tendrán que generar más apoyo hacia la creación de iniciativas, tanto a nivel local o nacional como a nivel internacional, además de crear más redes de cooperación, producción y ayudar en los procesos de la sociedad en los objetivos de sostenibilidad
La UE ya se intuía estos problemas y por eso quiere fomentar la unión entre los estados miembros de la Unión. Por desgracia, este objetivo en vez de cumplirse, se están alejando porque se está disgregando, como pueden ser el Brexit o el principio de salirse de Italia. De todas maneras, la UE seguirá fomentado la unión entre sus estados miembros.
