No cabe duda que el Fondo Social Europeo es uno de los elementos clave de la solidaridad dentro de Europa pero también uno de los pilares de la cohesión y del avance de la Unión hacia una forma más perfecta.
El FSE está presente en nuestra vida cotidiana como alumnos. Todos los estudios de 3º y 4º de ESO, vinculados con asignaturas procedimentales, están financiados por el Fondo. La Junta de Extremadura recibe una asignación anual de este fondo para dotar de recursos a los centros educativos en aspectos que luego puedan ser necesarios en el mundo laboral posterior. La Junta ha desarrollado un sistema, a instancias de la UE, para corroborar o comprobar qué las materias se están impartiendo correctamente, a través de la Plataforma Rayuela.
El FSE también coofinancia los estudios de los ciclos formativos, tanto de grado medio como de grado superior de formación profesional, y realiza cuantiosas inversiones en los centros para dotar a estas enseñanzas de materiales y recursos.
Por supuesto, el FSE financia el programa Erasmus +, en nuestro caso, la movilidad de alumnos para realizar sus prácticas en empresas del extranjero (KA 102) y para profesores para conocer la realidad educativa de otros estados miembros (KA 101). Existen también otros programas de asociaciones estratégicas entre escuelas para que haya movilidad de alumnos y proyectos conjuntos (KA2)

European Social Fund or ESF is one of pillars of the European Union nowadays. This fund invests lot of money in developing eductional systems all throughout Europe and to teach and train people to be better workers in a globalized World.
Here, in Extremadura, most of the money that we use in education comes from the ESF. Subjects like Maths, Physics or Chemistry in the secondary level recieve money from Europe as well as all modular system in Professional Skills studies. Teachers must tick in their computers everyday in Rayuela to show European Commision that money have been well invested.
Erasmus + is another programm sponsored by the ESF. Students and teachers can exchange experiences and move to different countries due to this programm.
