La
pérdida de energía eléctrica en toda Grecia se está viendo reflejada en las
facturas de las empresas griegas. Para reducir la cantidad de dinero a pagar,
el Banco Europeo de Inversiones y el Banco Pireo respaldarán una nueva
inversión de 100 millones en eficiencia energética. Esta inversión será un plan
piloto pero que se irá implantando progresivamente por toda Europa con el objetivo
de aumentar la disponibilidad del financiamiento de la deuda para la inversión
elegible energética.
El
acuerdo para el préstamo de los 100 millones del BEI y del Banco Pireo fue
acordado a través del proyecto Private Finance for Energy Efficiency (PF4EE).
El BEI apoyo este proyecto porque refuerza el apoyo del Banco Europeo de
Inversiones al emprendimiento ecológico y expande los conocimientos del BEI
sobre la eficiencia energética. Por su parte, el Banco Pireo hizo lo propio
porque tenía una posición ideal en el mercado griego para aprovechar este
instrumento de financiación innovador.
El
dinero prestado va a ser utilizado para la financiación de nuevas inversiones
que mejoren la eficiencia energética en edificios existentes, alumbrados
exteriores o estaciones de bombeo de aguas en el país heleno.
La
nueva cooperación con el Banco Pireo en Grecia representa es la octava
asociación con un banco europeo para respaldar las inversiones en eficiencia
energética en el marco del instrumento financiero PF4EE. Además el BEI cuenta
con el respaldo de la Comisión Europea. También, el BEI proporcionó algo más de
4,1 mil millones para nuevas inversiones de eficiencia energética por todo el globo terráqueo.
The electrical energy loss in whole Greece is being reflected in the electrical bills of the Greek companies. To reduce the amount of money to pay, the European Investment Bank and the Pireaus Bank will support a new inversion of 100 million in energy efficiency. The financial support will be a new plan but it will spread around Europe in a progressive way with the objective to increase the availability of debt financing for eligible energy investment.
The agreement which was reached by EIB and the Pireus Bank to give the loan of 100 million euros, was through the Private Finance for Energy Efficiency (PF4EE). The EIB supported the project because it reinforces the backing of EIB about the ecological undertaking and, also, spreads its knowledges about the energy efficiency.
The borrowed money will be used to finance new investments to improve the building, the lights at the streets or pumping station for the firefighter in Greece.
The new cooperation with the Pireus Bank represents the eighth time that they have an association to improve the environment in Europe and it is, also, a good way to check the PF4EE. In addition, these associations has been supported by the European Commission and the European Parliament.
